The Phoenix of the AudiSport Club has risen from the Ashes. After almost 9 months of no events Dave and Dot took the bull by the horns and arranged a Lunch Run to Darnall Country Club.

Invitations were sent out to ALL the members ...What a response !!!!!!!. Bingo we have an event.

The Date and Time was set and the lunch was arranged. Dave did the route planning and what a route -- WOW is all we can say.

We met at our favorite gymkhana spot and departed at 10:25 following the lead car onto the N2 north bound,

Took the King Shaka Airport off ramp and proceeded towards the R102, through Tongaat turn left towards Wartburg, then right towards Compensation back onto the R102 towards Stanger, onto Doesburg and ending up at the Darnall Country Club WOW What a route !!!!!

From sharp corners to tight bends, long sweeps . short straights and sugar cane -- ASK Ruben. in the TT Roadster.

This route had ALL the ingredients for an exciting drive and testing the driver's skills to the limit. Boys will be Boys and some of us streched our Audi legs towards Compensation just to cool the turbos' down, Sorry no photos whilst doing the twisties Passerger had a hard time focusing !!!

Just a few pot holes, but that we have come to expect that in RSA, plus the odd speed bump that the SupaKwik DTM battled to transverse.

I think most of us battled to cross these huge humps in the road

We now back on the R102 and travelling SOUTH -- how did this happen we started off travelling NORTH ---

The DTM and Black Sportback is under investigation by the FIA ---

Might be a grid penalty for the next Event

What a pity we have arrived at our destination ---

Oh, you want to know about the lunch --- Yea it was excellent and real value for money, and as always the members were entertained. what can we say .....An AudiSport event is ALWAYS pleasant.
