The KZN members arrived in full force. It was a sight to behold to see all the Audi Club KZN Chapter T-shirts. The weather was perfect. Meeting at our usual spot, the "Audi in Mass" created quite an interest, including the driver and passenger of a black Subaru WRX, not sure if they were at an Engen gas station or an Audi Convention Centre.

The Audi convoy travelled along the Shongweni Shuffle, and what a shuffle, every slow moving vehicle somehow ended up in front of the Audi train. The twisty bits was SLOW ...... Once past the moving chicanes the 3 leading cars took off at a rapid rate of knots and missed the turn off to the Stonehaven Castle. Talk about living on the edge .......

Once we regrouped we parked our beloved Audi's, shared some ideas and took up our places for lunch.

Mark from Audi Centre gave us a talk from his latest trip to Germany which included the New A4 B7 range and possible future releases from the S range. Some interesting stuff is on the horizon. It was a very interesting talk. Thanks Mark.

The next item on the agenda was the selecting of the new KZN Chapter committee for 2005. Sometime ago the current committee sent an e-mail to all members to nominate 2 members and a secretary whom they believe should be in the committee for 2005. From this response a short list was created and everybody present at the year-end lunch voted on this short list. We are a very democratic and politically correct chapter.

The new committee members for 2005 as voted by the KZN CHAPTER are: Thierry, Deepesh and Laurie as secretary.

We touched briefly on the issues that are currently taking place in the Gauteng Chapter.

An e-mail was also sent to all KZN members asking for nominations for the most popular, enthusiastic member in the KZN Chapter and again the response was overwhelming and one person walked away with over 95% of the votes.

This person did a lot of behind the scene work for the Chapter and I believe that this "behind the scene" work was appreciated by everybody and voting for him was the KZN Chapter members way of saying "THANK YOU" for his efforts. This person also donated the Trophies, collected money with help from Ved, for all the events and keeping an audit of all the payments and expenses made.

The person we are taking about here is Deepesh. On behalf of the 2004 committee, Des and Thierry, would like to express their gratitude to Deepesh for his efforts and input to the club even whilst his personal work load is very heavy.

Des and Thierry presented Deepesh with his trophy - A mounted model of the Audi Avus Quattro.

The last item on our agenda was a slide show from the previous 14 events KZN Chapter has had. Some interesting comments were made and some good laughs were had during the slide show. We sure have an interesting and spontaneous bunch in our KZN Chapter

Well like all good things in life, this lunch came to an end.

I would like take this opportunity to express my gratitude to Des for his assistance during 2004 as my fellow committee member.
